Enjoy two acclaimed stand-up comedy shows as they’re recorded for online streaming platform NextUp. Having both sold out the Edinburgh Fringe and Soho Theatre – this will be a guaranteed great evening for any comedy fan and a sneaky taste of the Edinburgh Fringe’s finest shows – all for the cost of a beer. Good eh? Here’s who’s performing…
Joseph Morpurgo: Hammerhead (1hr)
Multi award-winning comedian Joseph Morpurgo presents his masterpiece: a boundary-smashing, nine-hour adaptation of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. Or is it?
An outlandishly funny multimedia comedy from the distinguished mind of an Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee, three-time 2016 Chortle Award winner and BBC Radio Four star.
Featuring surreal set-pieces, vivid comic writing – and monsters. Morpurgo’s adaptation is a must-see for comedy-lovers.
Adam Hess: Seahorse (1hr)
Star of ‘Tonight at the Palladium’ (ITV), ‘Live at the Comedy Store’ (Comedy Central) and loads of other TV shows, Hess offers ‘some of the fringe’s strongest punchlines’ (Skinny)… and he promises it will make you laugh a lot.
In Seahorse, Adam loses literally everything in his life in a matter of days and then desperately try to claw it back. Known for his fast gag-rate, Adam thinks his grandad has never eaten a wrap and he can’t imagine the queen with wet hair.
Join this former Edinburgh Comedy Awards Best Newcomer Nominee for an hour of stand-up where he’ll try to make you cry with laughter at least once.
