7th September 2018 @ Soho Theatre

I’ve now seen James Acaster over twenty times and he’s one of those people who whatever you see them do you know it’s going to be of the highest quality. As well as being incredibly funny his shows are just so well crafted that they’re as much of a pleasure to watch them from a technical point of view. It’s always interesting to see the little tweaks and changes that go along with even the most accomplished of works in progress as well.

James Acaster: Cold Lasagne Hate Myself 1999 (Work in Progress)

until 20:30 @ Soho Theatre

Calling shows a ‘Work in Progress’ is for wimps. When is a show not in progress anyway? Is a show ever truly ‘done’? Sure, this show is a lot closer to its conception than its conclusion but am I going to fall back on calling it a ‘work in progress’??? Absolutely not. Is it far from finished and shonky as hell? Sure. Will it be worth the ticket price? Comedy is subjective.
